Litigation Practice
Ed coordinates the Litigation Practice of the firm.
Recent Engagements
- Representing company and owner against claims by another company for alleged deficiencies in the company’s product.
- Representing company developing certain advanced products for the Department of Defense against companies who incorrectly installed equipment critical to the development of the company’s products.
Corporate Practice
Commercial transactional counsel for numerous businesses and individuals including: start-up procedures and documentation, business divorce, franchising, landlord-tenant, employment, and various operational and governance related legal matters.
Compliance, product registration and protection, advertising oversight, all transactional matters involving vendors, partners, contractors, employees and executives/owners, claim dispute resolution and risk management implementation and oversight, corporate operational assistance including employee relations, legal updates, and industry/vendor compliance.
Prior Firm
Prior to joining the firm, Ed practiced with a Cleveland law firm which presently has more than 200 lawyers in six offices. He chaired the Insurance Practice Group and headed the “Ethical Screen” department of that firm. With respect to litigation at that firm, Ed had significant insurance coverage experience and served as outside risk manager and National Litigation Oversight Counsel for an important client of that firm.
Professional Involvements
Admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, Ohio Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District Court of Ohio.
Member of the Ohio Bar and the Ohio Bar Association
